This is a picture of some people taking hair-styling lessons. The 5 women in the picture are all holding combs and scissors in their hands, stationed in front of heads of mannequins, trying to style the hair on those heads to the style they have in mind.On the table, there is a bottle of hair conditioner of the brand "Dual Care".i believe its for conditioning the hair on the mannequin's heads,to make it smoother and less frizzy, more manageable for styling. There are also large hair clips in front of each mannequin's head, also tools for hair-styling.
In the background, there are leafy trees.Blocking the view is a gate with an interesting pattern.Perhaps the large space between the trees and the gate is a beautiful park. And the gate is to prevent The women in the picture are not wearing any specific uniform, just simple casual wear. Therefore, the place the picture is featuring might not be a school but a place for private lessons to be conducted. At the top right-hand corner there is a sign half captured, displaying only the letters "OM 1".Most probably its a plate saying ROOM 1 in full, maybe there are other rooms in this building for other sorts of lessons to be conducted,eg.make up,baking etc etc.
Perhaps these people are students wanting to learn some hairstyling tips from the class. Most of the women in the picture looks like they are in their late twenties. And some, like the woman at the right,in her late thirties. They all seem to be Malays or Indians, looking at their darker skin tones.Or maybe they are domestic maids, while on their day off of the week, decides to take up a course and learn something interesting. While learning a skill, they could catch up with their friends and have a good time.At the bottom right-hand corner, the mannequin's heads are fashioned with short-hair,most probably of the male gender. And maybe, their are also males in the class. If not, then the women styling the short hair might simply be trying out for a more manly style, less of the femininity, more of aggressive chic. Most of the women in the picture are wearing gold jewellery of rings, bracelets and necklaces.Seems like they are a fan of gold designs rather than platinum or silver.Whatever they are wearing,by the smiles on their faces, they all seem to be enjoying themselves .
Counting from the left, stands a young lady in her late twenties.Clad in an ivory, spaghetti strapped tank top, with her hair tied up,and a big happy smile on her face, she gives an impression to people that she is a cute, chic girl and having great fun. From the big happy smile on her face and the determined glint in her eye,she is probably thinking to herself,"Wow,this is so fun.I am glad i decided to take up this course.I have got to get this right, then go back and try this new funky style on Big sister."By tying her hair up in a ponytail, hair is swept away from her face.Maybe this up do is to aid her in concentrating better during the lesson, and the soft tendrils framing her face, softens it and creating a more feminine look. She has a pair of large, expressive eyes topped with thin carefully styled eyebrows.Maybe she is a person who cares very much about her appearance.
Before this picture was taken, the ladies might have been in another room taking a different part of the lesson.Maybe the picture is featuring their practical part of the lesson and they might have had the theory lesson before the practical to help them understand the lesson better. The theory lesson may be held at a different room,Room 2 maybe.Or,they might have been washing the mannequin's heads, then blow drying them to make it nice and soft for easier management for styling.Perhaps, they were all at different places at different times before gathering at Room 1.Maybe shopping with friends, having a cup of tea.Or maybe, they have been hair-styling for quite some time already, however, not a single one of them looks bored or tired, the lesson must be really fun and interesting.
i think its a great idea to learn something new in a person's spare time. Its a great way to spend time. You get to know people from all walks of life, interact with them and make some friends. In the midst of having fun,you get to pick up a new skill. And by the end of the course, you can even more share the skills you have gained with your family and friends. You save money from those expensive salons and plus, some funny memories can be created on the head of your brother by the hands of an amateur.
if i were to give this picture a title,i would call it"Snip-Snapping Fun".

oral pic 1
This is a group of elderly playing a ball game.An old lady in a wheelchair has just passed a striped-patterned ball to a young Malay lady. The young lady's dressing is similar to a nurse uniform. The pther 5 elderly in the room are wearing outfits similar to hospital gowns.By the expressions on their faces, they all seem to be having a pleasant time. They might be happy to have some exercise and having the bonus of having fun at the same time.
In the background are some trees and a picket fence lining the house beside the building the people in the picture are in.Also, there are exercise equipment at the back of the room eg.a walking ramp and a stand to train for walking. Those are all equipment for physical training of the injured.Perhaps this picture features a nursing home for the elderly. And,since most of the elderly in the picture are wheelchair-bound maybe the equipment are for them for physical therapy.
Perhaps these people are the participants of the ball game similar to 'catch and pass'They all seem to be above the age of 50and sitting in a semicircle of 7.At the centre stands a young Malay lady who is most likely a nurse or a volunteer at the nursing home.At the far right of the picture stands too,a young Malay lady, according to her dressing, she is most probably also a nurse or a volunteer at the nursing home and the lady in the centre might be her friend.6 out of 7 of the elderly are in wheelchairs, maybe caused by old age or accidents.Only one of them are sitting in a chair and beside him stands a walking cane, maybe to aid him in his steps and balance.Since all of them are wearing outfits similar to hospital gowns, they seem to be residents of the nursing home.
At far right of the picture sits a man in a wheelchair. He has a very dark skin tone, maybe he's an Indian or probably he was very active in outdoor sports in his youth.By the smile on his face,he seems to be having quite a time by the ball game.He is probably thinking to himself,"This is so much fun!I get to exercise and have fun at the same time.Reminds me of the days at the court, those were the times."By the colour of his gown he seems to be one of the only two man in the group, the other sitting in a chair one place from him.Perhaps they are good friends since the same gender usually like to each other. There is a young Malay lady standing behind him,she might be his personal nurse. To be able to afford that,he might come from a wealthy background or simply have filial children who care alot for his health.
Before this picture was taken, the elderly in the picture probably were all doing different things at different places. And this might be their playgroup and play room. Some of them might be having leisure time;listening to music, reading a novel maybe.while some of them might want to build some muscle and improve their health and work out at the exercise equipment area. And the nurses might be busy doing some paperwork or having a pleasant conversation over tea before the ball game. And also,it might be possible that they were all outside having a walk for warm up before coming to the room to play.
I think that it is great for the elderly to have some fun and exercise by playing a simple game of "catch and pass".This way they can escape from the boredom and loneliness that they might feel at the nursing home when their children are too busy to visit.I encourage simple games like this to be conducted in nursing homes as they help the elderly to interact with one another more and easily creates a light, gay atmosphere for friendships to be formed. Then, the days at the nursing home will be easier to live by with great pleasure.
